What’s in a Name?

by Sean Hackbarth

Steve Reardon Verdon is an economist who has an interesting weblog with an unpronouceable name. Does he hang out with the New Criterion bunch? Go bug him.

Deinonychus Antirrhopus

UPDATE: Sorry Steve about the name mix-up. Now I know how Kevin feels when he biffs it.

Heh, I read that blog name as “Deinonychus Interruptus,” which has all sorts of wacky connotations.

2

I hope to hell I don’t come down with that. Is it an incurable disease or is it treatable?

3

Matthew, I can’t even pronounce your interrpetation. As for the disease, I wouldn’t run off to Toronto or Hong Kong if I were you, Tiger.

Uhhhmmm not too complain too much, but its actually Steve Verdon.

Deinonychus Interruptus…LOL now that’s funny.

Deinonychus antirrhopus, what can I say, my son loves Dinos and got me hooked. Think of the raptors from Jurassic Park.
