If It’s Good Enough for Iraq…

by Sean Hackbarth

If purple ink is good enough to prevent some fraud in Iraq’s election why not in Wisconsin elections. It’s looks goofier than those “I Voted” stickers, wouldn’t stop people trucked in from out-of-state or felons who can’t vote, and wouldn’t prevent incompetant poll workers from improperly registering voters, but it would stop multiple voting.

Or something as simple as our ID’s…*slaps forehead*…no wait, that’s disenfranchising to some people…apparently.

Yep, it would disenfranchise:

a) Dead family and relatives.
b) Family pets.
c) Homeless people from out of state.
d) Felons
e) Anyone else not elgible.

Requiring ID wouldn’t stop a felon because there’s no mention of a criminal record on it. The best solution to that would be strong prosecutions by district attorneys.

Belling, exhibiting monomania as usual, vehemently rejected the blue finger idea. It would indeed be a poor substitute for an ID requirement, but I see no reason not to push for both. They are clinging to the “disenfranchisement” claim to oppose ID, but it will be amusing watching them figure out how to frame an objection to the ink that doesn’t sound bogus.

The return on investment for a vanload of Chicago party machine people goes way down if they only get to vote them once.

Sawzall

As well as being my home these days, Milwaukee is also the ome of the Sawzall, a powerful tool for construction or demolition. I always figured it was a tool The Great Carnak would have used when he knewzall and…
