Duncan Hunter to Run for President

Rep. Duncan Hunter can’t wait until next week’s elections to throw his hat in the ring for President. Political uber-junkies Stuart Rothenberg and Charlie Cook see this as Hunter believing the GOP will lose the House. “It does suggest he figures he’s going to have some time on his hands, that he won’t have to worry about running hearings and fashioning legislation. He must figure one of his Democratic colleagues will be taking care of that,” said Rothenberg.
Not as much of a junkie as Rothenberg and Cook I ask, “Who?” and “Why?”

Given who else will likely be candidates and his starting point, it doesn’t seem that Hunter will get much traction.
