Harriet Miers Leaving White House

White House Counsel Harriet Miers will resign as of 01.31. I won’t miss her since I didn’t know she was still around. She was as enigmatic as the President’s adviser as she was as a bad Supreme Court nominee.
The Wall Street Journal issues a rumor that Miers was pushed out by Chief of Staff Josh Bolten. “Miers’s style didn’t mesh well with that of the crisply organized former investment banker, people who know them say.” Tony Snow said, “Basically, she has been here six years.” A White House job is a taxing one full of long hours and lots of stress. I’m impressed Miers endured so long. I’m very glad she left the White House this way instead of becoming a Supreme Court justice.
