Harold Ford: New DLC Chairman
Harold Ford, Jr. will be the next chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, the centrist think tank. It’s a good choice. Ford is very smart, communicates well, isn’t all about the Bush bashing, and now has plenty of time on his hands. In a memo to DLC founder Al From one of the things Ford wants to do is “execute an aggressive outreach program with the blog community.” That might not be welcome from the more Leftist webloggers who are Deaniacs, and Lamontians. Pam Spaulding already hates Ford’s “‘centrist’ blather.” Shakespeare’s Sister calls the DLC a “bull**** operation.” Ford should have a “fun” time reaching out. I can’t wait until he and DNC chairman Howard Dean, M.D. get into a juicy brouhaha. You know it’s going to happen.
