The White Death Strikes

by Sean Hackbarth

Blizzard in Allenton

The 6-inches of snow that fell last night was only a taste of what’s to come. I’m hunkered down with plenty of food (homemade soup tomorrow), a few movies, plenty of books, and lots of wine. Don’t worry about me. Worry about that crazy Weather Channel reporter squinting while reporting from Milwaukee’s lakeshore. Sure, it’s not as dangerous as standing out in a hurricane, but it’s very uncomfortable.

If The Weather Channel really thought we were doomed, we’d have Jim Cantore instead of Mike Seidel here.

Steve, you should be embarrassed you know Weather Channel personalities by name.

My brother met Jim Cantore.

I met Seidel. My father hauled me out of my hibernatory cave long before I was done hibernating, to see him.
