The White Death Strikes

The 6-inches of snow that fell last night was only a taste of what’s to come. I’m hunkered down with plenty of food (homemade soup tomorrow), a few movies, plenty of books, and lots of wine. Don’t worry about me. Worry about that crazy Weather Channel reporter squinting while reporting from Milwaukee’s lakeshore. Sure, it’s […]

Suze Orman Ain’t No Virgin

Drudge is loving Suze Orman telling the NY Time Magazine that she’s “still a 55-year-old virgin.” Uh, no. She’s a heterosexual virgin; a woman who hasn’t been with a man. You can’t play around with the ladies and still keep your purity. That’s right up there with people claiming oral sex isn’t sex, and “I […]

Political Webloggers Warry of Campaign Efforts

Political webloggers, especially those running large sites like Redstate.com and DailyKos have to be on the watch for political consultants trying to create “astroturf” grassroots support:
With big corporations now hiring public relations firms to pay fake bloggers to plant favorable opinions of the businesses online, many political bloggers are concerned that candidates, too, will hire […]

Americans for Prosperity Health Care Forum

Last night, Americans for Prosperity put together a event to discuss how to fix our health care system. Rising costs, they are expected to double in 10 years, has brought talk of socialized medicine like that in Canada and Europe. Dr. David Gratzer author of The Cure urged listeners to stay away from that idea. […]

Lieberman Might Join GOP

Sen. Joe Lieberman caused some shock waves by indicating he could join the Republicans if Democrats put up road blocks to funding the Iraq War:
The only pro-war senator to caucus with the Democrats may become a Republican.
That’s what Joseph Lieberman, the independent from Connecticut who was defeated in a Democratic primary last summer, is hinting […]

Doyle Undergoes Hip Surgery

Gov. Jim Doyle had hip surgery yesterday beating the hospital tax he wants to impose. For a few hours Wisconsin taxpayers were safe from any new taxes springing out of Doyle’s mind. He’ll be on crutches for 6-8 weeks. Doyle’s fiscal ideas will tax Wisconsin residents for decades.

Presidential Election Fatigue

The new Democratic Congress has been in power and they should already be declared a Lame Duck one. It’s not Speaker Pelosi’s or Senate Majority Leader Reid’s fault. Blame the Presidential campaigns who decided to launch their runs a year early sucking media attention away from Congress’ efforts. And blame the media who decided a […]

Conservative Banned by Digg

If new, social media will be the way many people find their news then conservatives need to use them to connect to fellow conservatives and promote conservative stories. Digg is the big player in the social news space. Gop3.com’s Brandon Henak urged his readers to start using Digg. Yesterday, Digg banned his account “due to […]

Stroke Hits Bo Black Hard

Best wishes to Bo Black who suffered a stroke this past weekend. She worked tirelessly to make Milwaukee’s Summerfest the biggest and best music festival in the world. Too bad she didn’t take care of herself as much as she did her festival. Be this a warning. Working hard on something you love is great, […]
