Andrew Sullivan Goes Too Far

by Sean Hackbarth

Along the lines of poisoning political discourse Andrew Sullivan published a link to the address of Coulter’s Florida home. That adds no value to the point Sullivan was making. I too read that Coulter passage and thought, “She lives in a nice place in New York. She’s not hanging out in Detroit or rural Wisconsin with ‘the rest of us.’” It’s fine to point out hypocrisy. What isn’t acceptable is giving stalkers and the deranged (Mike Stark) the temptation to do someone harm. We’re engaged in political battle; no one should get physically hurt. Sullivan needs to take down that link and apologize.

UPDATE: The link is gone. That was fast. I’m glad it’s down. Now, I’ll wait for that apology. It should be as long as waiting for Ann’s.

Did he change it? It just says she lives a block from the beach.

2

James it’s been changed since I posted on it at 12:51 (see the time stamp).

LOL… Deranged! Well, when my website is back on its feet, we’ll see who’s deranged. Funny thing is that I walked around CPAC with a recording device. I recorded my conversations with Michelle Malkin and Bryan Preston… with Cap’t Ed… (what is it with fat and bilious chickenhawk idiots appropriating military titles, anyway?) and with several, several candidates and officers of organizations…

you see, the proof of “deranged” is in the audio.

And guess what, sweety-pie? It ain’t me…

Her address is a public record. Anyone can look it up by searching on her last name at the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser’s website. All Florida real estate records are public information.

I think you’re making a big deal about nothing. The link was up there for, what, 2 seconds? And do you think you couldn’t get Coulter’s address from any one of a hundred sources?

Sullivan’s post didn’t have anything to do with her address, only the general location and value of her house. The idea that he’s sent an army of stalkers to her home is what is deranged.

Seriously. Sullivan is already targeted for not getting behind the Bush Cult of Personality; it’s not necessary to dogpile him for something this insignificant.

Wow. You folks really are what you claim to hate… a bunch of cowardly and dishonest polemics willing to censor any ideas or communications you disagree with.

There’s a special place for manipulators of your sort. All I can say is thank the lord above that I won’t have to be the one doing the judging - my stomach couldn’t withstand it…

7

They post the names and addresses of sexual predators online. So why not post the same info for hatemongers?

8

The link had the address of the home. It made be available but Sullivan didn’t need to make it any easier.

Thanks for posting my thoughts… Kudos.
