Clinton Will Fight for “Invisible Americans”

by Sean Hackbarth

Playing off John Edwards “Two Americas” Sen. Hillary Clinton told New Hampshire Democrats that President Bush and the Republicans have “have looked right through” “invisible Americans.” That list includes Hurricane Katrina victims, small business owners, college students, those who lost their jobs or pensions, and even gas buyers. In other words everyone is “invisible.” This is her attempt at class warfare injected with Bill Clinton-style passion for the little guy.

Granite State Democrats liked what they heard. Patrick Hynes, a Sen. John McCain consultant, writes,

One Democrat activist who attended the event was swayed by Clinton’s words. “I was excited,” she told The Daily Acts on the condition of anonymity. “I used to be for Obama, but now …” and she pointed to the “Hillary for President” pin on her chest.

She also received a standing ovation.

If they’re invincible, why do we have to fight for them?
