Richards Snorting Father’s Ashes Was a Joke

Keith Richards snorting his father’s ashes along with some cocaine? Too good to be true according to his manager. This from the unusually informative MTV News:
In a buzz-killing mood, though, we decided to check with Richards’ longtime manager, Jane Rose. We asked her about the dad-snorting quotes in the NME interview. She responded with an e-mail:
“Said in jest,” she explained. “Can’t believe anyone took [it] seriously.”
Any good joke needs some believability. The more there is the better the joke. Would it really shock anyone if Richards actually did snort his father’s ashes? I figured it was his secret to eternal life.
