Weblogging Can Be Good for Your Career

Initially having a weblog was considered a detriment to landing a job. A weblog made it too easy for potential employers to gather negative information on you. Many treat their weblogs as an anything goes media without realizing what they’re writing is for public consumption. So there can be plenty of material to turn off a hiring manager. However, the Wall Street Journal ran a story about the benefits of weblogging in a job search. The subjects of the story are getting regular job inquiries simply from regularly posting.
