Republican Candidates Don’t Fear MSNBC

by Sean Hackbarth

Republicans have agreed to hold their first Presidential debate on MSNBC in California:

The Republican debate is being held in the Reagan Library, important to Republicans for its obvious symbolism, and the candidates were personally invited to participate by Nancy Reagan. Confirmed Republicans include Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo and Tommy Thompson.

There will be no opening or closing statements, just the candidates’ reactions to questions and to each other.

Despite MSNBC being the network of Leftist loon Keith Olberman, despite it being the network of Chris Matthews, no friend to conservatives, neither the candidates nor the GOP base is crying foul. That’s in stark contrast to the Left going bonkers that Fox News host Democratic debates. Part of it is accepting the media landscape as it is; the MSM is dominated by Left-of-center journalists. Another part is the GOP wants as much exposure as possible. They don’t fear MSNBC’s audience even if they’re full of Olberman fanboys.

Wonder if PMSNBC will let The Olbertard be on the questioning panel.

Wow, I guess it will be the first (and hopefully last) time that I will watch MSNBC.

Joe Scarborough is left of center? You people are unbelievable. (I mean that literally. The things you claim as fact literally aren’t to be believed.)

To suggest that MSNBC is somehow the “left counter” to Fox’s “right cross”, is beyond silly. MSNBC throws up Obermann as a frequently bafoonish leftist, but otherwise runs it down the middle (Scarborough, Matthews and its general coverage of news). Fox on the other hand, show its bias in virtually everything it does.

Of course Republicans don’t fear MSNBC – it’s a legitimate news organization.
