Obama Gets Away with Misspeaking; Doesn’t Get Bush Treatment

by Sean Hackbarth

Sen. Barack Obama claimed 10,000 people died in a recent tornado in Kansas. He was off by 9988. It wasn’t Obama stumbling over his words, mangling syllables, or getting tongue-tied. He clearly said something wrong. Can we start the meme that Obama is a complete moron too stupid to be President? Where do I get my book contract for documenting “Obamaisms?”

Obama explained his mistake on fatigue which got Don Surber to ask,

Tired? The man is all of 45. John McCain is 70 and served 5 1/2 years in a Vietnamese dungeon. He never complains about being tired. Why is Obama tired all the time? Has he no stamina at all?

When President Bush almost got the year of the U.S. bicentennial wrong it garnered front-page treatment by the Washington Post. Somehow he insulted Queen Elizabeth and embarrassed the nation when he corrected himself mid-word. Here we have a Presidential candidate with as much executive experience as me who made a huge numerical error yet there’s nothing about the shame he brought to his Illinois constituents or his supporters or questions about his intelligence.

Imagine flipping Bush and Obama in those situations and tell me the MSM coverage would have been the same.

You’ve got one, so far. Looks like a pretty short book.

Can we start the meme that Obama is a complete moron too stupid to be President?

Sure, when he makes about 10,000 more such missteps, like Bush has.
