Obama Would Raise Taxes if Elected President

by Sean Hackbarth

Sen. Barack Obama told George Stephanopoulos he would raise taxes on the rich. A NY Times didn’t want to perpetuate the accurate stereotype that liberals love to raise taxes so the headline uses Obama’s words that he’d “roll back” tax cuts for the rich. Obama would put the increased revenue would into funding health care. As with just about every government program funding it simply on the backs of the rich will be futile. Other money will have to be found which means raising taxes somewhere else. Obama’s rhetoric is unique for a politician but his tax policy is your standard liberalism.

That or the country will go bankrupt when the borrowing frenzy eventually dries up.

Paying for government programs must come as a shock due to GOP fiscal policy.
