Newspaper Calls for McGee to Resign

by Sean Hackbarth

Behold, we have the closest we’ll ever see to a newspaper editorial board issuing a mea culpa. Here’s the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Michael McGee/Jackson’s bribery and extortion charges:

Last month, we agreed with one of the candidates McGee defeated that despite his personal foibles and outrageous behavior, McGee appeared to have the interests of his constituents at heart.

Perhaps we were wrong, but if McGee truly does care about his constituents, he should step down.

Patrick at Badger Blogger has many examples of how McGee/Jackson kept the “interests of his constituents at heart.” The alderman has been an embrassment to Milwaukee.

The newspaper is like a sad puppy dog; it always follows never leads. All the while it worries it will make someone angry. Makes you wonder what’s the point of publishing editorials.
