Summerfest 2007 Day 3 Preview

by Sean Hackbarth

The weather has cooled off but no sign of rain, Summerfest’s number one enemy. That threat might arrive in the middle of next week.

Here are today’s picks:

  • The Fray with OK Go and Mae take to the Marcus Amphitheater starting at 7:30.
  • The Goo Goo Dolls have completely dropped their power part of their infectious power pop but they provide songs with catchy hooks. They play at the Miller Oasis at 10:00.
  • Sara Evans offers up another night of country music at the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse. This 10:00 show will also be taped for CMT.
  • I’m getting old when late 80s hair metal finds a place on a “classic rock” stage. Slaughter only had two hits, “Up All Night” and “Fly to the Angels” but they have enough of a following to headline the M&I Bank Classic Rock Stage at 10:00.
