A Gordon Brown U.K. government is quite a change from a Tony Blair one, and it’s not a change for the better. Brown has ordered his ministers to not mention “Muslim” in the same breath as “terrorist:”

Gordon Brown has banned ministers from using the word “Muslim” in ­connection with the ­terrorism crisis.

The Prime Minister has also instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that the phrase “war on ­terror” is to be dropped.

The shake-up is part of a fresh attempt to improve community relations and avoid offending Muslims, adopting a more “consensual” tone than existed under Tony Blair.

But wait, it gets better. The new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is taking the Sen. John Kerry approach to fighting Islamist terrorism:

She said: “Let us be clear – terrorists are criminals, whose victims come from all walks of life, communities and religions. Terrorists attack the values shared by all law-abiding citizens. As a Government, as communities, as individuals, we need to ensure that the message of the terrorists is rejected.”

I’m sure Osama bin Laden is about to declare peace with the United Kingdom because the new British government refuses to speak of reality as it is. Expect the Islamists to issue a fatwa declaring Great Britain off limits to bombings because the Brown government caved into political correctness.

Michael van der Galien (via memeorandum) beautifully spouts off:

Great. Lets just deny that the people who commit these terrorists acts are Muslims and lets just, conveniently ignore the fact that they adhere to an Islamist ideology. I am quite sure that this will make the problem go away.

Yes - and lets just ignore that the facts are, that the far, far, far majority of terrorist attacks today, are carried out by extremist Muslims. Lets conveniently ignore the elephant in the room.

As long as nobody feels ‘offended.’

What happens when the next attack is thwarted or worse successfully conducted? Will Gordon Brown convert and start praying to Mecca? Bin Laden and his fellow evildoers want to bring back an Islamic caliphate, a world government under Islam. Brown turning Muslim might end their war with the Islamists so I hope he doesn’t read this.

With Tony Blair’s departure the U.S. has lost a strong partner in the Islamist War. All because a part of the Labour Party doesn’t understand the threat they’re facing.
