Tommy Thompson Endorses Rudy Giuliani

I’m not pleased with my former governor:

Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani will pick up the endorsement Friday of former Republican rival Tommy Thompson, a one-time Midwestern state governor.

“Rudy Giuliani has shown that he is a true leader. He can and will win the nomination and the presidency. He is America’s mayor, and during a period of time of great stress for this country he showed tremendous leadership,” Thompson, the former Wisconsin governor, said in a statement obtained by the Associated Press.

The former New York mayor is to accept the endorsement in South Carolina later Friday.

Nick Schweitzer must be so disappointed. All those web graphics ready and waiting to go. They’ll go someplace now: Windows’ recycling bin.

I already stated this on Patrick’s site…but he’s damaging his legacy further by supporting the most liberal of the Republican candidates…..

You should be happy. Given Tommy’s wholly inept performances at the debates, having him endorse anyone other than Fred is a plus for your campaign. Do you really want your campaign linked to a guy that performed like a bumbling idiot the last two times he was on the national stage?
