Paul Probably Won’t Meet Fundraising Goal

by Sean Hackbarth

Will Rep. Ron Paul meet his goal of raising $4 million this month?

No.

There’s less than seven hours left and $1.43 million to go.

Will Paul supporters take this as a sign their candidate isn’t the juggernaut they imagine him to be?

Absolutely not.

[I’m trying to ween myself off Ron Paul posts. Honest.]

UPDATE: I feel like I’m obsessed with Ron Paul. Here’s part of his appearance on Jay Leno only to be followed by a performance by The Sex Pistols. After mentioning the song “Anarchy in the U.K.” Jay quipped to Paul, “You’d like that.”

Sean,

The actual total for October will be about $3 mil, since there are about 10 days of offline donations and a couple of big offline fundraisers that haven’t been added to the total.

But the real reason we didn’t meet our goal this month is because we’re keeping our powder dry…

…just wait until Nov. 5th, then you’ll see what the Ron paul juggernaut is all about.

PS, Fred Thompson is at 8.1% chance to get the Republican nod on Intrade and Ron Paul is at 7.5% chance. Savor the moment, after Nov. 5 Ron is going to leave Fred and Jeri in the dust…
