Twittering the Democrats’ Debate
I’m liveblogging the Democrats’ debate on Twitter. Or at least until I get bored.
UPDATE: So far this debate hasn’t been nuclear war. Bummer.

The last thing I want to do is get into an analysis of a debate performance. But Daniel Casse claims Mitt Romney “blew it” last night. Romney did defend himself well from the rude sneering of Sen. McCain. McCain appeared to be a sore winner after his Florida victory and looked small and vindictive. However, [...]
Ex-Senator Bob Kasten jumped from backing Rudy Giuliani to backing Sen. John McCain. No one in Wisconsin cares either way. After Kasten lost to Sen. Russ Feingold he vanished from the Wisconsin scene. When he popped up to endorse Rudy it only told us he was still alive. And it’s not like he did much [...]
Sen. Barack Obama got 13,000 to come out to a rally in Denver. 13,000 people took time out of their day to attend of all things a political rally. That says something about the energizing nature of Obama and their despair with what’s going on in Washington.
Even better news came out today. Obama has raised [...]
Over 47 years ago Young American’s for Freedom issued the Sharon Statement, a document pronouncing the belief in key conservative principles. Here’s a portion:
THAT foremost among the transcendent values is the individual’s use of his God-given free will, whence derives his right to be free from the restrictions of arbitrary force;
THAT liberty is indivisible, and [...]
I’m in a generous mood. I’ve heard rumors that Sen. John McCain’s campaign is still hurting for money. Going into Super Tuesday that’s puts him at a serious disadvantage to the very rich Mitt Romney.
Sure, McCain lives off of the kindness of reporters and free media. He also has momentum, but it’s not just [...]
I read over Sen. John McCain’s victory speech tonight. No mention of “limited government.” He did mention that Americans should be “unburdened by the heavy hand of government that spends too much of their money on things they neither want nor need, while failing to do as well as we should the things none of [...]
The AP and Fox News have called Florida for Sen. John McCain. Here are my winners and losers:
Winners:
Obviously McCain who is now the GOP frontrunner.
Republican moderates and liberals (if they still exist). Conservatives voted for Romney, yet McCain still won.
Misleading attacks under the guise of “straight talk.” How much did McCain’s attack on Romney’s timetables? [...]
William Teach at Pirate’s Cove looks at Presidential campaigns’ widgets and doo-dads. He thought Fred Thompson did a good job (I take no credit), but other campaigns like Mitt Romney and John Edwards held their own.

I don’t know what will be Florida’s results for the Republicans. I’m not in the business of making guesses. In fact, I’m not in any business at the moment. (The tip jars are to the right, thanks.)
I am interested in Sen. Clinton’s quasi-campaigning in Florida. Due to Democratic Party rules the state has been stripped [...]
Follow along to my pithy comments about the State of the Union speech on Twitter.
UPDATE: For “traditional” liveblogging there’s Captain Ed.
UPDATE II: Hot Air and RedState have open threads. Enjoy.
UPDATE III: Ed Morrissey has a little fun and calls me a “punk kid” for Twittering the SOTU. He forgets I’ve been weblogging longer than him. [...]
Sen. John McCain experienced blowback for his dishonest attack on Mitt Romney over Iraq War timetables.
The Wall Street Journal’s John Fund reports:
More recently, Mr. McCain has told conservatives he would be happy to appoint the likes of Chief Justice John Roberts to the Supreme Court. But he indicated he might draw the line on [...]
Theoretically the Republican nominee could be decided after Super Tuesday, February 5. Rightroots is betting on that with F7. Go to the site and pledge to donate to the presumptive GOP nominee on February 7. Then tell your friends to do the same.
We know both Sens. Clinton and Obama have raised over $100 million [...]
Little Miss Attila is begging for bucks.
And if you have any charity left in your heart remember I’m unemployed, and I’m going to CPAC too. At least I only have to cross the Potomac. The tip jars are to the right.

The limited edition t-shirt with Mitt Romney’s mug on it is a little creepy. He should have gone all the way and spoofed the Che Guevera iconic image.
