It’s About Time

by Sean Hackbarth

Bill and Hillary Clinton

Jonathan Chait joined the party in understanding the Clintons are people hell-bent on claiming the White House. It only took him and some fellow liberals ten years to realize this.

Bill’s more power-hungry than Sen. Clinton. You can tell by the way he’s become the primary attack dog against Sen. Obama. Then when someone calls him on his hardball politics he blames the media.

With Hillary we have a more true believer in the liberal cause. Yes, she craves the idea of being the first female U.S. President, but I also think she wants to advance her righteous cause. She wants socialized health care, higher taxes, and the redistribution of wealth.

With Bill he wants all the accoutrements of power. Washington’s madams will be flush with business should Bill barrel his wife to the nomination and the White House. Gaius is dead on when he writes, “The Clintons and scandal are riveted tightly together at the wrists and ankles. That one will arise is practically a foregone conclusion.”

Gina Cobb reminds us (and liberals) just what the Clintons accomplished while in power the first time:

But the conservatives might have had a point about the Clintons’ character. Bill’s affair with Monica Lewinsky jeopardized the whole progressive project for momentary pleasure. The Clintons gleefully triangulated the Democrats in Congress to boost his approval rating. They do seem to have a feeling of entitlement to power.

Don’t forget the 1994 Republican Revolution. The Clintons have demonstrated political genius by handing over Congress to the opposing party and yet never suffering a political price. Amazing.

To those Lefties who finally seen the light: What took you so long?

Said it before, will say it again: i don’t know who these supposed “liberals” are who actually like Hillary Clinton. I don’t know a single one of them, and let’s just say i don’t have many conservative friends.

I mean, obviously there are people out there who like her, because she’s gaining delegates, but again, i have no idea who the hell these people are.
