McCain Wins Wisconsin

by Sean Hackbarth

Fox News gives Sen. John McCain a Wisconsin win. Their exit polls had McCain beating Mike Huckabee on every issue. Even talk radio listeners backed McCain.

UPDATE: About Obama’s vacuous rhetoric McCain responds in his victory speech, “Americans are not deceived by an eloquent but empty call for change.” He not only takes on Obama’s inexperience, but points out specific points of weakness. Much better jab than what Clinton tried.

UPDATE II: Huckabee has a shot at getting some delegates out of Wisconsin. With 46% of the vote in McCain is leading by 1.1% in the Seventh District.

UPDATE III: With 60% of the vote in McCain’s lead is down to 24 votes.

UPDATE IV: With 67% of the vote in Huckabee has taken the lead in the Seventh District. For those not familar it covers North Central and Northwest Wisconsin. Rep. Dave Obey is the Democratic Congressman.

UPDATE V: With 70% of the vote in McCain has regained the lead by 80 votes.

UPDATE VI: With 86% of the vote Huckabee leads by 21 votes.

UPDATE VII: Steveegg points out to me Huckabee is also leading in the Third District with 85% of the vote in.

UPDATE VIII: With 94% of the vote in Huckabee has a 202 vote lead in the Seventh District. In the Third District Huckabee’s lead is 439 votes with 88% of the vote in. There’s a good chance he’ll get six delegates from Wisconsin.

UPDATE IX: The back and forth in the Seventh District continues. With 95% of the vote in McCain is ahead by 90 votes.

Gee that’s funny…practically every caller to Belling was a cross-over vote for Clinton…..

2

Wisconsin needs a closed primary. Cross-over voting is obnoxious.

3

It’s the 3rd that should be worrying McCain. Huckabee’s up by 291 votes there with 77% in.

4

And as I typed that, fresh numbers from the 3rd put McCain up by 32 with 80% in.

5

“Americans are not deceived by an eloquent but empty call for change.”

So McCain is dropping out, then?
