State Department Passport Party

By moving to the State Department Condoleezza Rice slipped from prominence. Off the top of my head I can’t name any accomplishments since she’s been there. Now we learn she’s not doing a swell job running the department. Two contract employee were fired for peeking at Sen. Barack Obama’s passport file. Embarrassing news like this comes in threes so we learned the same files for Sens. Clinton and McCain were also improperly examines.

Michelle Malkin summarized it: “The State Department is such a freaking joke.”

Via Twitter, Slate’s Jon Dickerson quipped, “It’ll take 8 mo. for a new passport but I can have my file breached immediately.”

“First, Obama’s Passport…Now, Hillary’s Breached, Too; 12:13pm Eastern: State Dept Says McCain’s Passport Accessed, Too”

Developers typically have read only privileges on production data. Good thing too, because it is not easy to mock up test data from scratch. In my job if I had to mock up test data from scratch my testing for a one line ten minute code change could likely increase from weeks to months.

Condeleeza Rice is not doing a good job at State but that some low level coder read the records on McCain’s, Clinton’s, and the JFK Lama’s passport records is probably about 10 layers of responsibility below Condeleeza.

NOt trying to over simplify this but Marcus is right, way below Rice’s pay grade, but isn’t this just an attempt to get everyone’s mind off of the Obama’s anti-american leftist, racist and everyother “ist” agenda?

You’ve been blog rolled through Grizzly Groundswell,,, can I get some “roll” love?

So, what’s in a passport file that is so important so as to be regarded as some state secret that can be (ohmygawd!) “breached” ?

Absolutely nothing.

‘Specially these three, who’s every move and every life-detail is already known down to the atom.

This is an hyperventilated non-story.
