ABC News Hated by Left Blogosphere
After last night’s debate there is no love for ABC News from the left side of the blogosphere. Not when Charlie Gibson used a supply-side argument about the capital gains tax and George Stephanopolous asked Sen. Obama about his relationship with former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers. Stephanopolous got that question from Sean Hannity which only adds fuel to the fire.
At least two people at ABC News acknowledge there are conservative angles to issues. But for the most part the debate was more about process than substance. A reason for that is Clinton and Obama are virtually the same on policy. They’re both liberal Democrats who want to pull the U.S. out of Iraq ASAP. I guess Gibson and Stephanopolous could have let the candidates tee off on Sen. McCain all night, but how would that have helped undecided Pennsylvanian voters?
Expect plenty of calls for boycotts and “Action Alerts” today.
