Obama Smears Coburn; Compares Him to Terrorist Ayers
If anyone should be really bothered by last night’s Democratic debate it’s Senator Tom Coburn. In a question about his relationship with former Weather Underground member William Ayers Sen. Barack Obama dodged by talking about Coburn’s anti-abortion views. Hot Air has the video where Obama said:
The fact is I’m friendly with Tom Coburn, one of the most conservative Republicans in the United States Senate, who during his campaign once said it might be appropriate to carry out the death penalty to those who carried out abortions. Do I need to apologize for Mr. Coburn’s statements, because I certainly don’t agree with those either.
Talk about being out of touch. Obama has the audacity and moral relativism to compare Ayers who bombed federal buildings to a Senator’s talk on the campaign trail. As Jonah Goldberg put it, “I’m pretty sure Coburn didn’t bomb any abortion clinics.” The cliche fits: Actions speak louder than words.
