Comcast Blues

Comcast blows

When I moved to DC I knew I’d likely be getting Comcast for internet access. I heard my share of bad reviews, but it was the best option my roommates and I could agree upon. And up until recently Comcast served me well. In the last month their internet service has been pretty mediocre. It’s been fading in and out. I could be zipping along doing e-mail, posting to TAM, or web surfing when suddenly I’d get cut off. A few minutes later it would come back on. Frustration reached it’s zenith today when only in the last hour have I been able to remain online long enough to post something.

For someone relying on internet access for my job hunt, writing, and all-around communicating that’s unacceptable. I almost missed an opportunity because I couldn’t access my e-mail.

If you’ve wondered why TAM hasn’t been buzzing much the last few days Comcast is your reason. Weblog readers are fickle, and who knows how many I’ve lost because I haven’t been able to post.

Comcast, your tv service is fine but please get your internet act in gear.

It’s TV service isn’t that great either. Depending on where you live, you may be able to get Fios although Verizon has mixed reviews.
