Obama Advisor Talked with Hamas. Leaves Campaign
Let’s not hyperventilate about the importance of Robert Malley removing himself (or getting pushed) from Sen. Obama’s campaign. He was on an advisory committee along with a host of other people. Most have very little contact with the daily functions of the campaign. It’s like Eugene Volokh and Orin Kerr on Sen. McCain’s Justice Advisory Committee. Eugene was also part of Lawyers for Fred Thompson and didn’t play an active role. Allahpundit gets it right, “Which makes this sound less like a case of someone being “fired” than simply being disinvited from sitting in on more conference calls.”
Malley was no Samantha Power who traveled around the country as a surrogate for Obama.
Malley’s meetings with Hamas do explain why they are fans of Obama. Quite a interesting collection of people that have gathered around Obama. Do we want these types in the White House making policy?
Obama has still failed to explain why he wouldn’t talk with Hamas but would meet with Iran. They’re both terrorist organizations. One’s just bigger and has petrodollars to fund their evil activities.
