Ted Kennedy in Hospital

Sen. Ted Kennedy was taken to the hospital because of “stroke like symptoms.” Say a little prayer for him and his family.

UPDATE: The Huffington Post has some details of Kennedy’s hospitalization and this quote from Sen. John McCain:

Senator Kennedy’s role in the U.S. Senate cannot be overstated. He is a legendary lawmaker, and I have the highest respect for him. When we have worked together, he has been a skillful, fair and generous partner.

Let’s not forget Mary Jo Kopechne, the darkest spot on Kennedy’s biography.

UPDATE II: CNN reports Kennedy had a seizure instead of a stroke:

Sen. Edward Kennedy was hospitalized in Boston, Massachusetts, after suffering an apparent seizure Saturday morning, his family said.

Sen. Ted Kennedy, shown in May 2007, was rushed to a hospital Saturday morning.

“He is undergoing a battery of tests at Massachusetts General Hospital to determine the cause of the seizure. Sen. Kennedy is resting comfortably, and it is unlikely we will know anything more for the next 48 hours,” a statement from his office said.
