Democrat Admits “Stretched the Facts” on Iraq

This video from Rep. Paul Kanjorski should irritate an already cynical public especially those who voted for Democrats in 2006 because they thought they would end the Iraq War. Kanjorski told constituents they exaggerated.

Ace is right. By the the Bush bashers’ logic Congressional Democrats are as culpable for death and destruction in Iraq as the President.

Remember how cynical the Democratic leadership is while remembering fallen veterans this Memorial Day Weekend.

I’m sure Rep. Kanjorski’s colleagues won’t appreciate his honesty.

You folks are great. 7+ years of abysmal failure from the bush administration and you grab onto the thoughtless words of a nobody Dem? You all are too much. How do you balance your opinion of this current story with the 1000 or so lies told by your idiot boy-king? Do they balance out for you? Do they really? What Bush haters like Fred fail to realize is there’s a difference between being wrong and lying. Before the invasion the administration, the U.N., and most Western intelligence agencies believed Iraq possessed WMD. The debate was over how to deal with them and if that was justification for a war, not whether they existed.

Congressional Democrats are as culpable for death and destruction in Iraq as the President.
Some of us Democrats have been saying that for years. It’s why we’ve been funding challengers (like Donna Edwards) and even running ads against our own (Chris Carney) and, probably, the difference between a President Clinton and a President Obama.
