Rolling Stone Continues Hating Rush

by Sean Hackbarth

There must be some unmentioned policy at Rolling Stone that prevents the music magazine from giving any respect to the Canadian power trio Rush. RS came out with their list of greatest guitar songs. While Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and AC/DC justly made the list Rush was left off. In the feeble minds of RS a song like “Spirit of Radio” wasn’t acceptable but The Red Hot Chili Pepper’s “Under the Bridge” was. “Freewill” is denied its place while Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So” made the list?!?

Explain to me why Rush doesn’t get the critical acclaim they deserve. Also what’s your favorite guitar song?

You can ignore this list. Where’s “Fire on High” by ELO? Where’s “Kashmir”? Where’s “Badge”? That’s just off the top of my head.

Rolling Stone mag continues to suck. Tom Sawyer, Limelight, closer to the heart, freewill–SPIRIT OF RADIO– hello..the list goes on … — give me break no rush tunes. Don’t know what the issue is with RS and rush but its more than just a little noticeable.

Rolling Stone and the hall of fame suck!!! I wont pick up that magazine or go to the RHOF until Rush is on the cover or in the Hall

Rolling Stone tries so hard to be cool and Rush just has never been cool. How can they list a limited guitarist such as Kurt NoBrain as one of the best guitarist ever and leave off Alex. Hell they would propbably list Dave Groul ahead of Neil Peart so how can we all take it seriously.
