FISA Passes Senate
by Sean Hackbarth
After five months of waiting the battle over updating FISA is over. The bill with telecom immunity survived a cloture vote and passed 69-28. Sen. Obama voted for the bill (after decrying it last year) while Sen. Clinton voted against the bill. How real is the Obama-Clinton unity?
Give Obama credit. Being one of two men who will be President next year he realizes he’ll need all the tools he can get to keep the U.S. safe from terrorist attacks at the same time protecting his political future. Now, this is change from Obama I can believe in.
