Top Five Podcasts

by Sean Hackbarth

Here are my top podcasts that help make my daily commute more pleasant and enlightening:

  1. EconTalk: Russ Roberts gets the brightest minds in economics to talk about ideas, facts, and theories in a way that’s accessible to both economics newbies and seasoned veterans.
  2. Deeper Shades of House: Lars Behrenroth keeps me grooving to new deep house mixes every week.
  3. The NY Times Book Review: Book Review editor Sam Tanenhaus catches me up with book world news and new book releases. It’s quality stuff even if it’s stuck in a liberal, NYC-centric universe.
  4. Resident Advisor: RA offers weekly electronic dance music mixes from up-and-coming DJs and old pros. The quality is consistently good. They’re the Global Underground of podcasts.
  5. The Right Doctor: The latest show with Matt Lewis made me put it on this list. It’s smart, full of common sense, and Melissa Clouthier gets into great conversations with her guests.
