ABC News Hated by Left Blogosphere

After last night’s debate there is no love for ABC News from the left side of the blogosphere. Not when Charlie Gibson used a supply-side argument about the capital gains tax and George Stephanopolous asked Sen. Obama about his relationship with former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers. Stephanopolous got that question from Sean Hannity which […]

Huckabee’s Big Announcement

Beware the Ides of April. Mike Huckabee plans on launching something on 04.15 (probably a PAC) and there’s a petition pushing for Mitt Romney as Sen. McCain’s running mate. It’s as much about 2008 as 2012. It’s called “preparing the battlespace.”

Weyrich Backs Away from “No Mitt” Ads

Paul Weyrich stepped away from the “NO MITT FOR VP” ads. The Free Congress Foundation sent me this press release:
Tuesday, April 08, 2008
(For Immediate Release)
Re: Paul M. Weyrich Statement on the “NoMitt” Campaign.
Recently I received a phone call from someone asking if former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney should be Arizona Senator John McCain’s selection for […]

Penn Still on Clinton Calls

Despite no longer being called the chief strategist Mark Penn is still on Clinton campaign phone calls. Maggie Williams’ rebuke wasn’t much of one. Symbolism over substance: the Clinton way.
Imagine if Sen. Clinton were President suring the Hurricane Katrina disaster. She would have handled the Mike Brown even worse than President Bush. No “heck of […]

Mark Penn Leaves Clinton Campaign; UPDATE: Sort Of

Sen. Hillary Clinton’s chief strategist Mark Penn left the campaign after it was reported he was advising Columbia on how to get a free trade deal passed through Congress. That conflicted with Clinton’s criticism of free trade agreements. Here’s the statement from the campaign:
Statement from Maggie Williams
After the events of the last few days, Mark […]

Romney VP Opposition is About 2012 (or 2016)

My Man Mitt’s Justin Hart thinks Mitt Romney’s Mormonism is a reason why some Christian Conservatives oppose him as Vice President:
Matt Lewis points to a Huckabee motive. David Brody has a headache over this thing. But I see another motif at play here.
Am I blowing smoke about the hidden anti-Mormon agenda of many of the […]

The $100 Million Couple

Capitalism is a beautiful thing. Even a slime ball like Bill Clinton can make a fortune. “What a country!”
The Clinton campaign pulled off the oldest political trick in the book and did a document dump on a Friday. To make reporters and political junkies suffer over the weekend the Clinton’s released their tax returns from […]

Schizophrenic Weyrich

For Paul Weyrich Mitt Romney was good enough to deserve his endorsement for President but isn’t deserving of being Sen. McCain’s VP:
Conservative leader Paul Weyrich – who endorsed Mitt Romney’s presidential bid – has signed on to an open letter from more than two dozen movement activists to John McCain warning him not to select […]

Does Hillary Ever Sleep?

Since Sen. Clinton did well with one 3 am commercial why not another one? This one deals with the economy and targets Sen. John McCain:

Clinton should be focusing on Sen. Obama. She needs to beat him before McCain becomes a threat. Looks like her campaign ran out of ways to beat the Jeremiah Wright dead […]

Mike Gravel Thinks He’s the Fifth Beatle

Back in the olden days people like Mike Gravel could be odd and run for President quietly inside their own delusional world. Today, we get to watch the never ending car crash.

There’s something to be said about the “good old days.”

How’s This for a Deal?

Both Sens. Obama and Clinton can dump their embarrassing appendages. It would make the Presidential race less colorful.

Puerto Rico Changes to Presidential Primary

Puerto Rico moved up its Presidential contest from 06.07 to 06.01. Even more significant they will be holding a primary instead of a caucus. Judging on the previous Democratic battles this season that’s an advantage for Sen. Clinton. Barack Obama has had his way with caucuses. Big Tent Democrat thinks moving to a primary will […]

State Department Passport Party

By moving to the State Department Condoleezza Rice slipped from prominence. Off the top of my head I can’t name any accomplishments since she’s been there. Now we learn she’s not doing a swell job running the department. Two contract employee were fired for peeking at Sen. Barack Obama’s passport file. Embarrassing news like this […]

GOP Hasn’t Reached Out to Paul Supporters

Rep. Ron Paul complains to the Washington Times that neither Sen. John McCain nor RNC chairman Mike Duncan have talked to him about how to get his supporters to work for the Republican Party. Yet in the same article he says he won’t support McCain “unless he changes — bring the troops home, believe in […]

Presidential Candidates on Financial Situation

Quivering financial markets are in the news therefore Presidential candidates are sure to follow with statements.
Sen. Barack Obama went off half-cocked blaming President Bush for everything:
History will not judge President Bush kindly for his failure to act in a way that could’ve prevented or alleviated this economic crisis. There have been few Administrations so […]
