“Hey, I Heard Ya Missed Us, We’re Back!”

David Lee Roth and the Van Halen brothers put their issues aside and began a sort-of reunion tour in Charlotte, NC. Reuters gave the show plenty of praise:
After 22 years, David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen were back onstage together rocking and rolling, and hopefully they will continue to do so for a long […]

Bluetooth “Love and Happiness”

A congressman giving a speech while wearing a Bluetooth earpiece doesn’t impress me. I think those things make the wearer look more important than they really are. What does impress me is there’s a Congressman Al Green.
“Al Green’s Earpiece”

Ted Nugent: Unhinged

One look at Ted Nugent and you know he’s not quite right. The wild gleam in his eyes, the tension in his face, and the omniscient smirk tell you he’s passionate confident no matter how outrageous he is. A video clip has oozed onto the internets of a Nugent concert performance where he rants about […]

John Cox Wishes Led Zeppelin Endorsed Him

Little-known GOP Presidential candidate John Cox should garner a little attention with this cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.” It’s bizarre in an almost Mike Gravel way.
UPDATE: Call it a screw up. I forgot to post the wacky video. Here it is. Then call your lawyer to begin a class-action suit.

Violent Femmes: Hall of Fame Bound?

The Violent Femmes in the 80s and 90s gave Wisconsin rockers something to be proud of. They’ve outlasted the more pop-friendly Bodeans.
Here’s bassist Brian Ritchie making the case:
“I don’t like awards shows like the Grammys or other subjective things,” Ritchie said. “Simple concepts like platinum albums (1 million sold) are more meaningful to me, […]

Origin of Hillary’s Theme Song

Sen. Hillary Clinton’s new theme song “You & I” was an Air Canada ditty:
The idea for the song was first dreamed up by Jacques Duval, the president and chief executive of Marketel, the Montreal-based ad agency employed by Air Canada. Back in 2003 things were looking bad for Air Canada, and by extension, Marketel.
So […]
