Ice Bowl II

The high temperature in Green Bay tomorrow is expected to be 3-degrees.
Brett Favre will hate every minute he’s out there, but I think he’ll end up throwing three touchdowns for the win and a ticket to the Super Bowl.

Jumping on the Bandwagon

I don’t mind if Chicago Bears fans root for the Packers. The more the merrier. Plus, Bears fans can watch how real fans act when the REAL America’s Team goes to the Super Bowl.
“Is There Room for Bear Fans on the Band Wagon?”

Tom Brady: MVP; Second Place: Brett Favre

Well deserved for Tom Brady who had a record-breaking year for the undefeated New England Patriots.
But it wasn’t unanimous. Who got that other vote? Brett Favre.
Love it.
“Brady is Near-Unanimous Pick for MVP”
UPDATE: It’s hard to argue with perfection so I understand Bill Belichick being named Coach of the Year. But remember, he got fined $500,000 […]

The Best Huckabee Metaphor

Mike Huckabee the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” candidate. Sure, he leaves a warm spot in your heart, but he’s utterly saccharine.
“He’s Absurdly Likeable. A Favorite of the Faithful. But, Does Mike Huckabee Have a Prayer?” [via memeorandum]
UPDATE: Huckabee may lead America down a path towards Christian Democracy. That hasn’t panned out quite so […]

More Politico Junk

The Jawa Report compares and contrasts what actually happened at Fred Thompson’s post-caucus rally and what Ben Adler reported. It’s like Roger Simon Disease is spreading. Someone, call CDC. Or better yet Stick it to Politico.com.

I Declare Paul the Winner Before the Polls Close

Pre-Fred I had time to go through the latest web start-up news at TechCrunch. I see they want to endorse a Presidential candidate and are taking the direct democracy approach with a poll. I wonder if Michael Arrington wrote,
Note that some of the campaigns (particularly Ron Paul) picked up on this yesterday from ABC’s […]

Hillary’s Sort-of Christmas Ad

This ad (I won’t even bother using the Christmas or “holiday” adjective) is typical Leftism. It’s politically correct by not mentioning Christmas–don’t want to offend anyone–and it’s about how Sen. Clinton will give people stuff. That’s easy to do when it isn’t her money. Bryan Preston says it well:
All of the gifts are funded in […]

Packers Lose But are Still Pretty Good

Yes, I freaked when Brett Favre left the game. The hit on his arm didn’t look any worse than other ones he’s taken. But I forget sometimes that he’s 37. When he was in the game he wanted too many long passes. Ryan Grant played fairly well so Favre shouldn’t have been more patient. Aaron […]

CNN Unfairly Bashes Fred

Letting Democrats ask questions at a Republican debate (we’re up to four) demonstrated CNN’s lack of journalistic integrity. This hit piece on Fred Thompson’s answer to a question about the Confederate flag–hardly a pressing GOP issue–only adds additional evidence. Here’s Warner Todd Huston’s analysis:
Not only does CNN try their best to muddy Fred Thompson’s stance […]

CNN Lets Hillary Backer Ask Question at GOP Debate

CNN said the point of the YouTube debate was to show questions that concerned Republican voters. They lied. Keith Kerr. a retired soldier asked the candidates about the ban on gays in the military. For 90% of Republicans this isn’t a pressing issue. But CNN wanted a gotcha question to make the candidates look like […]

FlipperTV

The DNC unleashed a new web toy, FlipperTV. They’ve posted a bunch of GOP Presidential candidate video for users to download and chop up into videos. Presumably it’s for Democrats to attack Republicans, but there’s no reason why a Rudy supporter can’t use the Mitt video and vice-versa.

The MySpace-ification of Captain’s Quarters

Annoyance alert!
Ed Morrissey has been playing with the BlogTalkRadio player on his weblog. I read this disturbing note about the progress:
First, as some of you may have discovered today, I have been working with my BlogTalkRadio player. We have had people working on the issue with player volume on autostart, and we needed to test […]

Rallying to TNR’s Defense

Maybe “this Army conduct stinks really, really badly.” It doesn’t get us any closer to answering these questions:

Did Scott Beauchamp make up his stories about military misconduct in Iraq?
Did Beauchamp recant?
What did The New Republic know and when did they know it?
Why did TNR not tell us about their conversation with Beauchamp?

On that last question […]

Michelle, the Debate is on CNBC

Michelle Malkin wants the GOP to unload on Chris Matthews in Tuesday’s Presidential debate. She writes,
The candidates will be appearing on nutroots cable TV’s MSNBC for a debate in Dearborn, Michigan. Why they are bothering to show up on a network with basement viewership is beyond me. Even more puzzling: Why they would bother to […]

Bill Clinton Outraged at GOP Outrage

Bill Clinton’s fake outrage strikes again.

This from a guy who can cry at the sight of a reporter’s camera.
