Brian Fraley asked,
1) How many wins for UW?
2) How soon before Marquette gets bounced?
3) Your biggest upset of the tourney?
4) Who are your final four teams?
5) Who wins it all?
and I answered. I want to post them before the March Madness games start today:

Congratulations Waukesha West Academic Decathlon Team

Congratulations go to Waukesha West’ Academic Decathlon team. They won their seventh straight Wisconsin state title yesterday. I represented Slinger High School in 1993 so I know how much work and dedication it took to compete for a state title. I wish them the best of luck competing in the national finals next month in […]

Ned Yost No Fan of Weblogs

Milwaukee Brewers manager Ned Yost has a unique way of dealing with weblogs:
I’ve decided that from now on when NASCAR is on the docket, I’m going to pull a “Yost,’’ or react the same way he does when the subject of blogs are brought up.
See, the manager is not a big fan of blogs, which […]

Huckabee Wins 6 Delegates from Wisconsin

It wasn’t the clean sweep I thought it would be last night for Sen. John McCain. Mike Huckabee won more votes in two Congressional districts giving him six delegates.
In the Third District Huckabee got 46.10% to McCain’s 44.37%. In the Seventh which went back and forth all night Huckabee squeaked out a 71-vote win.
Looking at […]

McCain Wins Wisconsin

Fox News gives Sen. John McCain a Wisconsin win. Their exit polls had McCain beating Mike Huckabee on every issue. Even talk radio listeners backed McCain.
UPDATE: About Obama’s vacuous rhetoric McCain responds in his victory speech, “Americans are not deceived by an eloquent but empty call for change.” He not only takes on Obama’s inexperience, […]

Wisconsin Exit Polls

Jim Geraghty reports:
I’m hearing that after two waves of data, Wisconsin looks like a blowout in favor of Obama, in the neighborhood of 60 percent to 40 percent.
AJStrata might have spoke too soon about Obama peaking too early.
If the exit polls were centered around Madison and Milwaukee areas with high student concentrations that could skew […]

Do Your Civic Duty. Vote for Kathy Carpenter

If you live in Kenosha, WI vote for Kathy Carpenter in the aldermanic primary. She takes the good, old-fashioned conservative route of running on taxes:
Also, the tax issue is huge in Kenosha. I have talked to liberals, conservatives and independents and they all say the same thing- Kenosha’s taxes are too high. We […]

Obama, Clinton Target Super Delegates

The conventional wisdom was the the Republican Party was so divided that there was a chance to witness a brokered convention, or at least see some hard-slogging delegate trench warfare. After a string of victories Sen. John McCain is close to sealing the nomination up.
The Democratic side is where the real action is. After Super […]

Here’s a new weblog find: Jumping in Art Museums. [Via David All] Fine as long as they don’t break anything.
It’s cool, but not as cool as Camp Randall Stadium after the third quarter of a Badgers game.

Kasten Endorses McCain: Ho Hum

Ex-Senator Bob Kasten jumped from backing Rudy Giuliani to backing Sen. John McCain. No one in Wisconsin cares either way. After Kasten lost to Sen. Russ Feingold he vanished from the Wisconsin scene. When he popped up to endorse Rudy it only told us he was still alive. And it’s not like he did much […]
